We visited Saturday night and are celebrating a wonderful dining find. The food was absolutely wonderful, so tasty and perfect portions. The owners are so very passionate about their food and rightly proud. My husband can take food far hotter than I, so we chatted with the owner about the dishes so that we had the perfect ones for each of us. If you love Thai food and a wonderful dining experience, do try this restaurant. Your first visit won't be your last. Ours certainly won't.

Such a fabulous little restaurant! Fresh cut orchids on the tables was a lovely touch. The owners were so welcoming and the food was amazing! Just perfect!
We were visiting the area for my partners grandads funeral and we checked into our hotel late and we needed to go and eat. We read the reviews on this restaurant and omg - it didn’t disappoint. We walked past the restaurant and it was empty, we both looked at each other and thought Ohhhh, but we went in anyway. The service was 10/10!! I know we was the only people in the restaurant but it was brilliant and the food came out piping hot and fresh. Smelt amazing and tasted amazing. We had the chicken satay with peanut sauce to share as well as sesame prawn toast. My partner had the chicken coconut red curry and I had chicken cashew - absolute chef kiss!! Oh and we shared a egg fried rice too! So yummy and tasty!! The portions was just right for us. We left very happy and had a full tummy. Totally worth the money, and we will 100% be back but under better circumstances. The couple that own this restaurant are amazing people!!! Thank you guys!!!

A Similan Thai is a gem of a restaurant on Highcliffe high street. This was our second visit. My wife and I shared the mixed starter which we'd highly recommend - so many wonderful flavours! My wife followed it a vegetable and mushroom stir fry, while I chose by the Penang curry with tofu. The latter is not an option for the curries on the menu, but you just need to ask. It was very tasty and a generous portion, with plenty of tofu. We shared a jasmine rice and some plain noodles and the total food bill was under 50, so good value for authentic and tasty Thai food. We'll definitely be visiting again soon.
We had a lovely authentic meal here this evening. Run by a lovely couple. Service was lovely and attentive without being too claustrophobic. The food was amazing. We had the Thai fish cakes and dumplings to start. Both were tasty sensations. Then, for main - mixed seafood and jungle curry, both spicy but not ridiculous, with Pad Thai and jasmine rice. Desert was banana fritas with homemade coconut ice cream with a Sauntern and Muscat. I would thoroughly recommend a visit.
